Art done by proud Whadjuk Nyoongar woman Breeanna (Dixon) Haynes, digitised and overlayed of Bilyaa's project.
We acknowledge the spiritual and cultural custodians of Whadjuk Nyungar Boodja. Furthermore, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of all lands and waters throughout Australia, and the Indigenous peoples beyond our shores. We pay respects to Elders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the culture, stories, and dreams of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise and respect the wisdom of the ancestors and Elders, their ways of knowing and doing, and their continued relationship with their land and waterways. We also recognise the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, who are our future and our hope. Finally, we acknowledge and respect all non-Indigenous Australians who share our vision for a fuller expression of Australia's nationhood as we empower our First People.
