At the School of Isolated and Distance Education in Leederville, Aboriginal artist Kevin Bynder created a large-scale artwork that runs as a band across the timber-clad building facing the yarning courtyard.

The artwork was considered together with our landscape design for the courtyard, so the paths, seating and yarning circle all look towards it. Our team coordinated with the school and the artist on placement, scale and integration with the façade, making the artwork a focal point for students, staff and community.
