Bilyaa was commissioned to design and deliver a comprehensive outdoor transformation for Heathridge Primary School. The project aimed to enhance learning through landscape, integrating seasonal gardens, a cultural yarning circle, all close an immersive forest boundary.
The concept centred around six themed garden beds—each reflecting a Noongar season—structured with crushed limestone bases, metal edging, mulch, and curated planting. The gardens were connected by accessible paths and bordered by a new irrigation system tailored for educational and environmental performance.
A Yarning Circle was deisgned with a dyed red crushed limestone centre and custom-formed concrete benches, establishing a functional and symbolic gathering place. Landscape works also included forest irrigation extensions, water feature preparation, and soft landscaping aligned with a new forest area planned by others.
All works were coordinated in line with child-safe and sustainable school design principles.
