Set within the tranquil landscape of Serenity Gully in Bridgetown, these three architectural projects—Djarraly Chalet, Wandju Chalet, and the Communal Space—embody a refined vision of eco-conscious luxury. Each structure offers a unique experience while sharing a cohesive design language rooted in harmony with nature, sustainability, and thoughtful spatial design.

Djarraly Chalet
Located in an open clearing, Djarraly maximizes panoramic views and natural ventilation. Its angular form strategically captures sunlight and privacy, while floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior. The design features rich textures and subtle Italian influences, blending sophistication with a warm, grounded atmosphere. Sustainability is integrated throughout, ensuring the chalet is as efficient as it is elegant.

Wandju Chalet
In contrast, Wandju is nestled deep within the forest, offering a quiet retreat embraced by native bushland. Designed in close collaboration with the client, this chalet was positioned to capture the site's most scenic views and maintain a strong connection to nature. Expansive glazing opens the interiors to the outdoors, while the minimalist black façade provides a striking yet unobtrusive presence. Inside, open-plan spaces and sustainable materials deliver comfort with a light environmental footprint.

Communal Space
The Communal Space serves as the heart of the Serenity Gully complex—a spacious, well-ventilated area designed for yoga sessions, group gatherings, and shared experiences. Natural light and cross-ventilation define the open-plan environment, which also includes an integrated kitchen to support communal activities.

A standout feature of this design is the creative use of repurposed shipping containers. One container houses a massage room and storage, while the other accommodates an accessible bathroom, WC, and shared laundry. These containers not only add functional versatility but also introduce dynamic architectural volumes, enhancing the spatial rhythm of the structure.

Together, Djarraly, Wandju, and the Communal Space reflect a holistic design approach—where luxury, sustainability, and connection to nature are not just principles, but lived experiences.
