This renovation and extension project reworks an existing single-storey dwelling through a carefully layered addition, introducing new living spaces, a first-floor retreat, and outdoor amenities while maintaining a low and contextual street presence. The new built form is positioned toward the rear of the site, allowing the original house to remain legible while accommodating contemporary family living requirements.

The architectural strategy emphasises spatial sequencing, environmental performance, and indoor–outdoor continuity, with generous openings connecting living areas to the garden, pool, alfresco, and upper-level terrace. A restrained material palette differentiates old and new, balancing solid rendered forms with lightweight upper volumes and glazed elements, resulting in a cohesive composition that integrates architecture, landscape, and daily use.
